Everything is pretty much done on our mobile phones these days and laptop and computer are words only used in the office.
We’re not at all shocked, our mobile phones can pretty much do everything. We can pay for shopping, stream films and even scan airplanes in the sky to see where they’re going.
When it comes to job hunting, chances are you need to send recruiters or employers your CV.
If you’re not very computer savvy, or you’re applying for jobs while you’re out and about, you’ll be pleased to know that your mobile can take care of everything.
You can scan your printed CV in, download it and save it to your files and then email it to whoever wants to read all about you.
We’ve put together this handy little guide to make things a little easier for you.
Scan your CV using your mobile
iPhone users
If you’re an iPhone user, scanning in a document is easy peasy. If you’ve got your CV printed out, you can scan it using your mobile’s camera and fire it over via email.
- Open up your Notes app and select the + to create a new one.
- Tap the Camera button and then select Scan Documents.
- Place your CV in view of your camera, making sure the whole thing is within the frame. We’d recommend doing it on a plain background.
- Your iPhone may automatically scan your CV in, if not, tap the Shutter button.
- Select Keep Scan.
Your CV will now appear as a scanned document and emailing it is simple.
- Tap on your scanned CV.
- Select the box with the arrow facing upwards.
- When the pop up appears, click mail and send it to the desired address.
And, voila! We told you it was easy.
