Chat GPT is the latest AI craze and for good reason too. Short for Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer, Chat GPT is an AI-powered language model that can generate human-like responses based on input text.
There was controversy about what this would look like for students in college or university and now the attention has turned to job seekers.
A new survey of 4,000 UK workers, conducted by CV-Library, has discovered some statistics that may shock you as an employer.
42.7% of job seekers were found to fully intent on using ChatGPT to boost their job search which is surprising in itself.
When CV Library dug down into the ways that job seekers plan to use ChatGPT, the results blew us away.

• 41.6% To help write my CV
• 37% To help write my cover letter
• 35.2% To get a better understanding of the role I’m applying for
• 32.2% To help with possible interview responses
• 38.9% All of the above
With a whopping 71% stating that they aren’t worried about ChatGPT overstating their abilities and 63% claiming that they don’t feel as though the tool would be misleading to potential employers, what does this mean for businesses in 2023?
