Following a standout year of growth and success, Glu Recruit is proud to announce three internal promotions as the business continues to invest in structure, leadership and people development.
The promotions come shortly after Glu Recruit was recognised with the Commitment to People Development Award at the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Awards – a milestone that reflects the company’s ongoing dedication to developing talent from within.
Karen Hughes has been promoted to Head of Recruitment, recognising her exceptional leadership and commercial performance. Karen plays a pivotal role in managing the recruitment team, setting strategic targets, conducting one-to-one development sessions and driving business growth.
Alongside her leadership responsibilities, she continues to lead by example, consistently achieving targets and bringing new business into the organisation.
Jack Crookes steps into the role of Recruitment Team Leader following a highly successful period as a Senior Recruitment Consultant. In his new position, Jack will act as Karen’s right-hand support, helping to manage team workloads, lead key meetings and contribute to the training and development of consultants.
This role allows Jack to further build on the skills and experience he developed as a senior consultant while supporting the wider team’s success.
Joe Hall has been promoted to Head of Operations, taking ownership of the operational side of the business. Having developed a strong understanding of Glu Recruit’s financial processes, Joe will now oversee operations across the business, focusing on process improvement, efficiency and performance.
He will also remain the go-to person for all finance-related matters, working closely with temporary candidates and clients to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
These promotions reflect Glu Recruit’s commitment to recognising talent, creating clear progression pathways and building a strong leadership team to support continued growth.
