Role: Business Development Manager – Contracts
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 Plus Commission and Company Car
Located: UK – Field Based
Hours: 08:45 – 17:00
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
Our client are experienced in the lifting equipment sector. The services they offer include maintenance, breakdowns, repair, modernisation, and certification of lifting equipment.
Our client are looking for some to proactively identify, generate, and close new subscription-based service contracts, contributing directly to the company’s growth, recurring revenue, and long-term profitability. This role is focused on new customer contract acquisition. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the new-business sales process and play a key role in expanding our service contract portfolio.

The role:
- Proactively source and win new customers for subscription and service contract offerings
- Generate and close new preventive maintenance / service subscription contracts that increase recurring revenue
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, from initial prospecting through to contract close and handover
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new contract opportunities using CRM systems
- Promote the value and commercial benefits of long-term service and subscription agreements
- Work closely with internal service, operations, and management teams to ensure contracts are delivered profitably
- Accurately forecast sales activity and report on pipeline and performance against targets
- Represent the business professionally in all customer interactions
The successful candidate:
- Proven experience in new business to business sales, ideally within contract agreements, or subscription models
- Strong track record of closing new contracts, not account-only sales
- Commercially aware with the ability to sell value rather than price
- Confident communicator, comfortable presenting and negotiating at all levels
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
- Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Full UK driving licence
