Role: Business Development Manager – Technical
Salary: £40,000 Basic (OTE £45,000) Plus Company Car
Location: North of England (Field Based)
Hours: 08:45 – 17:00
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday

Our client is recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This field-based role is responsible for developing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and providing technical solutions across a range of lifting equipment products and services.
Duties include:
- Managing your own sales pipeline through the CRM system
- Achieving monthly and annual sales targets
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Working closely with Project Managers and Estimators to produce technical proposals
- Attending customer site visits to assess requirements and provide suitable solutions
- Promoting a range of lifting equipment, refurbishment and modernisation solutions
- Supporting customer retention and long-term account development
- Negotiating and presenting proposals to customers
- Monitoring tender opportunities across multiple platforms
The Successful Candidate:
We are looking for an experienced field sales professional with a strong technical sales background and a proven track record of developing new business.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous B2B field sales experience
- Experience selling within a technical, mechanical or electrical environment
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to sell value rather than price
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work independently and manage their own workload
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- A full UK driving licence
