Role: Channel Manager

Salary: Starting £27,500 with up to £10,000 in bonuses

Location: Sheffield

Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5 Office Based

Glu Recruit are recruiting for an experienced channel manager to join a closeknit, dynamic internal sales team for an engineering organisation. You will be responsible for contacting existing, lapsed, and identifying potential clients who are based throughout the UK and growing long-term relationships. The successful candidate will become a key point of contact, advising clients on new/existing product ranges, raise quotations and tracking orders to update clients on delivery times.

Main responsibilities:

  • Daily point of contact for customers
  • To support the development department by providing good-quality on-site support at the customer, within agreed timescales and budgets according to company procedures.
  • Coordination and administration between company and the customer of all relevant technical issues.
  • Contacting existing, lapsed, and potential clients via email, or phone call leading to face to face or teams meetings
  • Research and identify business opportunities
  • Meet KPIs and Individual Targets
  • Roughly making 40 sales calls a day to pre-planned clients and schedule follow ups to track orders
  • Outbound calling
  • Account management of new business
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships
  • When required generate a quotation and proposal
  • Ensuring sales systems and updated regularly
  • Offer a consultative service to new clients
  • Advise clients on product ranges and what is available to them
  • Raising quotes
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day communication with the customer contacts for whom you are responsible.
  • Verify calibrations with care and thoroughness so that all failures to meet requirements are discovered. 

Successful candidate:

  • Able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually with minimum supervision
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and use of Microsoft Office (essential)
  • 1-2 years working in business development/account management
  • Full, clean manual UK driving license
