Role: Customer Services Officer
Salary: £23,000
Located: Sheffield
Hours:- Mon – Thurs 08:30 – 16:45 & Fri 08:30 – 16:00
Our client is looking for a Customer Services Officer who will provide an outstanding experience to all customers, giving the best possible service, advice, or solution in a timely manner. Working as part of a small team to deliver first class customer service whilst understanding and working towards the Company’s business and financial objectives.

The role:
- Provide front-line advice and assistance via telephone and written communication to customers, consumers and sales colleagues, facilitating the earliest possible resolution in line with service standards and procedures.
- Order editing and order entry as appropriate
- Receive and process ‘follow up’ information for previous requests and update systems as appropriate
- Liaise with other departmental staff, partner organisations and external service providers in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Quickly identify situations requiring specialist information and direct customers appropriately,
- Provide the necessary administration support
- Provide general administrative duties to resolve customer queries, mailing, photocopying, information storage and printing.
- Provide necessary support to cover holidays and other absences within the customer service and reception team.
- Answer switchboard calls.
- Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures and undertake relevant training and development activities for new and alternative systems
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.
The successful candidate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high standard of accuracy and efficiency
- Experience working in a fast-paced and often demanding customer service environment
- Computer literate, with experience using the full Microsoft Office Suite and SAP would be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience managing own workload
- Ability to work to deadlines
