Job Summary:
Glu Recruit are seeking an experienced Employment Fee-Earner to join a growing legal team based across Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with strong employment law experience to work within a supportive and progressive firm.
The successful candidate will advise both employers and employees on a broad range of employment matters, whilst building and maintaining strong client relationships across the region. The role offers hybrid working, with attendance required at one of the firm’s offices in Buxton, Matlock, Bakewell or Wirksworth at least twice per week.
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters
- Advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements, and related documentation
- Representing clients in Employment Tribunal matters where required
- Providing practical and commercially focused legal advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development and networking activities
- Ensuring compliance with SRA standards and firm procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with employment law experience
- Strong technical knowledge of employment law and procedures
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to business development
- Positive, professional, and collaborative approach to work
