Role: Financial Planning Assistant

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £26,500 – £31,000 Per Annum DOE

Hours: Full-time

The Company

Our client is a well-established financial services organisation with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advice and client support. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Financial Planning Assistant to join their support team.

The Role

Our client is recruiting for a Financial Planning Assistant to support Financial Advisers and the wider team, ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of client advice. This role will involve a mix of client administration, new business processing and ongoing support across the full client journey.

Duties will include:

• Confirming client meetings
• Maintaining accurate client records across internal systems
• Creating and managing electronic client files
• Obtaining information from providers
• Managing Letters of Authority through to completion
• Liaising with clients and providers
• Managing office stationery and equipment requirements
• Preparing client packs for adviser meetings
• Overseeing incoming and outgoing post, including scanning and distribution
• Preparing provider illustrations, applications and fund information
• Producing client presentation documentation
• Processing online and paper-based applications
• Monitoring cases through the pipeline to completion
• Liaising with providers, including underwriting for protection cases
• Managing all associated provider documentation
• Preparing pre-review documentation
• Processing post-meeting documentation
• Producing post-review client correspondence
• Monitoring existing group schemes
• Supporting annual renewals, including documentation and illustrations
• Assisting with the implementation of new schemes
• Managing day-to-day provider correspondence
• Supporting adviser and client requests

The successful candidate:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach
• High level of attention to detail

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within financial services (essential)
• Knowledge of FCA regulations (desirable)
• Previous experience in a senior administrative or paraplanning role (desirable)
