Role: Head of Business Growth

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Location: Sheffield (North)

This is a new role within a small business, built on strong foundations that are in the perfect position to grow. As a key member of the team your responsibilities will be wide ranging  and will test your behaviours, technical & process skills, ability to learn and apply new skills and your strategic thinking skills.

As Leader of the Sales function, you will work in partnership with the Head of Communications and Head of CIM Programmes and be jointly accountable for leading on all aspects of building relationships, maximising opportunities and delivering over and above what clients and stakeholders expect.

They operate as a team, and everyone has 3-core functions under which their role operates:

  1. Must have a specialism that is important to the business
  2. Must deliver training
  3. Must be involved in client relations

This role will report directly to the CEO and will have equal status to the other functional leaders that make up the Operations Board. If you want to enhance your skills and want to be one of the architects of building a strong, profitable, and regional based training and consultancy  business, then this is the role for you.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the sales journey from contact to on-boarding to ensure we provide exceptional service at the right profit margin
  • Build and develop relationships with clients on a face-to-face, email and phone basis
  • Regular account management to provide updates, advice, and feedback
  • Work with the internal team to ensure that a minimum of 3-points of contact are always maintained with the client
  • Identify tendering and other opportunities and lead on converting the contact into future revenue and long-term partnerships
  • Demonstrate coaching, influencing and relationship management at all levels and upskill other members tools and techniques
  • Manage and maintain the CRM systems
  • Represent the business to external stakeholders as business requires
  • Deliver training in your specialism
  • Reporting of key performance indicators to Operations Board
  • Other duties as required
