An established provider of environmental and drainage services is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver – DISAB Operator to join their team. Operating nationwide, the organisation delivers specialist industrial and waste solutions. This role involves operating heavy suction (DISAB) units for the safe collection and disposal of waste materials, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate DISAB / heavy suction units for the collection and removal of waste materials
• Carry out local and nationwide collections and deliveries in line with schedules
• Complete pre-use vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
• Safely load and unload materials using specialist equipment
• Maintain accurate records including waste transfer documentation
• Liaise with operations teams to coordinate routes and schedules
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Carry out cleaning and decontamination work as required
• Represent the business professionally on client sites
• Report any incidents, defects, or issues promptly
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to company standards
• Support team members and assist with training where required

The Successful Candidate:

• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• HGV Class 1 licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Tachograph card
• CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
• Interest in drainage, waste management, or industrial services
• Practical, hands-on approach with ability to work outdoors
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic IT skills and willingness to learn
