An established provider of environmental and drainage services is seeking an HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver to join their team. Operating nationwide, the organisation delivers reliable and compliant solutions across liquid waste and drainage services. This role involves the safe transportation, collection, and disposal of liquid waste while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate HGV Class 1 vacuum tankers for the collection, transport, and disposal of liquid waste
  • Carry out local and nationwide collections and deliveries in line with schedules
  • Complete pre-use vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
  • Safely load and unload materials using appropriate equipment
  • Maintain accurate records including waste transfer documentation
  • Liaise with operations teams to coordinate routes and schedules
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Carry out tank cleaning and decontamination work as required
  • Represent the business professionally on client sites
  • Report any incidents, defects, or issues promptly
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to company standards
  • Support team members and assist with training where required

The Successful Candidate:

  • Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
  • HGV Class 1 licence
  • Driver CPC qualification
  • Valid Tachograph card
  • CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Interest in drainage, waste management, or utilities sectors
  • Practical, hands-on approach with ability to work outdoors
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic IT skills and willingness to learn
