The Company

Our client is a well-established provider of environmental and waste management services, specialising in drainage, liquid waste and tanker solutions. With a strong reputation for delivering reliable and high-quality services nationwide, they are now looking to recruit an HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver to join their team.

The Role

Our client is recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver to support the safe and efficient transportation and disposal of liquid waste. This role will involve operating specialist tanker vehicles, responding to emergency call-outs and ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Duties will include:

• Driving and operating specialist jetting and suction tankers
• Responding to emergency call-outs including blockages, flooding and pollution incidents
• Collecting and safely disposing of liquid and controlled waste
• Carrying out pre- and post-shift vehicle checks
• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental procedures
• Accurately recording job details and maintaining documentation
• Ensuring PPE is maintained and used correctly
• Supporting wider field teams when required

The successful candidate:

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Valid Driver CPC card
• Valid Tachograph card
• Experience operating tankers (desirable – training can be provided)
• Experience within drainage or waste management environments
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work

Desirable:

• Experience within tanker driving, drainage or waste management
• Training in high-pressure jetting, manual handling or first aid
