Our client is an established independent merchant whose company ethos is to put their customers’ needs first and are dedicated to provide an unmatched service.

About the role:

You will achieve sales targets and overall business goals through the establishment, maintenance and improvement of the business relationships and market knowledge.

Other elements to the role include:

  • Maintain and update our current system in use for lead generation
  • Follow up and provide detailed updates on all tender and live projects
  • Follow up and provide detailed updates on our current and prospect customers
  • Respond to customer enquiries and provide quotations in a timely manner
  • Secure new customers and orders
  • Trade within the market and re-price work where we’re uncompetitive
  • Gain market intelligence and add to our existing database
  • Seek and establish market knowledge, competitor activity, customer activity and action in line with commercial policy
  • Provide solutions for customers from internal and external sources

The successful candidate:

Skills required

  • Selling and negotiation skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Information seeking/questioning techniques
  • Self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative
  • Able to work collaboratively with the team
  • Full Training will be given
