Role: IT Coordinator
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Our client are a charity providing support to families nationally.
The IT Coordinator will be the first point of contact for any IT related issues for a staff team dispersed across the country in a variety of locations e.g. office based, home based and remote working. The role will provide the IT support for the organisation and liaising will our external IT provider. The role involves delivering proactive solutions to support the organisation’s service delivery and its strategic delivery plan.
To be the first point of contact for internal IT Issues, logging, handling, resolving or escalating service requests and incidents supporting users both in person and via remote technology.
To periodically review the IT infrastructure of the organisation and work with external IT providers to identify and implement appropriate upgrades and train staff accordingly.
Obtain a thorough working knowledge of all the organisations IT systems and databases to enable provision of appropriate support to staff.
Making recommendations for improving IT systems and their use within the organisation.
To carry out periodic audits of the organisations IT equipment and assess future needs.
To produce management reports using database systems, Excel and PowerPoint presentations.
To maintain and update the organisations IT asset register and advise and facilitate periodic equipment renewal and disposal.
To develop and manage content for the corporate website and intranet.
To support all communications including phone system, mobiles and virtual platforms.
To develop, implement and monitor organisation IT Policy, protocols and procedures.
To develop and deliver IT end user training (both face to face and virtually) across the organisation in addition to producing customer friendly user guides.
To provide support for new employees joining the organisation including participating in induction processes.
Install hardware and software and monitor and maintain licensing for all products.
To coordinate and implement a range of project plans in cooperation with the Directorate Team, supporting strategic change across the organisation.
To take responsibility for individual learning and professional development, within a framework of changing organisational needs and requirements.
To participate, as part of the wider Head Office team, in supporting regional offices through attendance at geographically dispersed office bases and meetings with regional staff teams.
Any other duties as reasonably requested of the post.
The successful candidate:
Excellent knowledge of IT operating systems, especially Windows, Microsoft Office and Citrix
Experience with Office 365 platform and features such as Exchange, One Drive and SharePoint.
Excellent customer service skills via all communication channels
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to monitor and prioritise tasks, providing a high level of accountability and transparency of workload
Willing to work flexibly to meet organisational needs and priorities
Full UK driving licence and own transport
Educated to degree level or equivalent ideally with a degree in a related field e.g. computer science, information technology and information system management
Knowledge of project management practices and techniques such as team building and scheduling.
