Role: Part Time Marketing, Communications & Audience Development Manager
Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 FTE Per Annum (£12,800 – £15,200 Pro Rata)
Location: Sheffield
Hours: 15 hours per week (2 days)
The role:
Our client is recruiting for a Part Time Marketing, Communications & Audience Development Manager to lead the organisation’s marketing, communications and audience engagement strategy. Working closely with the Artistic Director & CEO and senior leadership team, you will increase audience reach, strengthen the organisation’s reputation and deliver creative campaigns that support productions, partnerships and long-term organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver integrated marketing, communications and audience development strategies.
- Plan and manage campaigns for productions, events, fundraising initiatives and community programmes.
- Lead digital marketing activity across websites, email and social media platforms.
- Manage media relations, PR, press releases and stakeholder communications.
- Strengthen and maintain the organisation’s brand and public profile.
- Develop audience engagement initiatives and analyse audience data to support growth.
- Manage marketing budgets, content creation and external creative suppliers.
- Monitor campaign performance and produce reports to inform future activity.
- Represent the organisation at events, performances and networking opportunities.
The successful candidate:
- Proven experience in marketing, communications or audience development, ideally within the arts, cultural or creative sectors.
- Experience delivering successful integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong digital marketing, social media and content management skills.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
- Experience using audience insights and analytics to improve performance.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience managing budgets and external suppliers.
- Passionate about audience engagement, inclusion and cultural representation.
- Collaborative, creative and able to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable:
- Experience within theatre, live performance or a publicly funded arts organisation.
- Knowledge of Arts Council England funding environments.
- Experience in PR, fundraising communications or stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with CRM or ticketing systems and audience segmentation.
