Salary: £20-£22 per hour.

Hours: 40 per week, Immediate start ongoing.

A Multi-Trader in Void Properties is responsible for preparing vacant properties for new occupants by performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and refurbishment tasks. The role involves working across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and tiling, to ensure that void properties are in excellent condition and ready for immediate occupation.

The role:

• General Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct maintenance and repair work across multiple trades in void properties, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and tiling.
• Refurbishment: Perform refurbishment tasks such as installing new fixtures, fittings, and finishes to bring properties up to a high standard.
• Inspection and Assessment: Inspect void properties to determine the scope of work required and report findings to property managers.
• Material Selection and Preparation: Select and prepare materials for various tasks, ensuring accuracy in measurements and cuts.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment in all void properties.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work meets high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with property managers and other stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any concerns.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in multiple trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and tiling.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a multi-trader role, preferably with experience working in void or vacant properties.
• Certifications: Relevant trade certifications or licenses.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions.
• Physical Fitness: Capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Tools and Equipment: Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment relevant to multiple trades.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Certifications: CSCS Card, Full Driving License, Manual Handling, Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness, and Face Fit Certification
• Additional Skills: Experience with advanced tools, software, or techniques relevant to construction and maintenance.
