Role: New Business Development Manager

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 Per Annum DOE

Located: Glasgow

Hours: Full Time

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday

Our client is looking for a driven and results-focused New Business Development Manager to join their growing sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who enjoys generating new business, building relationships and exceeding targets within the construction sector.

The role:

  • Proactively generating new business opportunities through high-volume outbound sales activity
  • Identifying and engaging with brickwork subcontractors and housebuilders operating within the traditional housing construction sector
  • Building and developing relationships with key decision-makers to secure new trading accounts
  • Producing and following up quotations to convert opportunities into sales
  • Growing and developing new accounts until they become regular spenders
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell complementary products
  • Managing customer activity and follow-ups through the CRM system
  • Working towards and exceeding monthly sales and gross profit targets

The successful candidate:

  • Previous experience within a business development, sales or account management role
  • Proven ability to generate new business and develop customer relationships
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with a target-driven approach
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Construction sector experience advantageous but not essential
