Role: Punch Press Operator / Labourer (Days)

Salary: £13.00 – £14.00 Per Hour

Location: Sheffield, S6

Hours: 07:00 – 16:00 hours (Day Shift)

Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday

The role:

Our client is recruiting for a Punch Press Operator / Labourer to join their production team on a temporary day shift basis. This is a hands-on role involving loading materials, preparing components and supporting the manufacturing process. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with previous industrial or production experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Load sheet metal onto the punch press using an overhead crane.
• Remove and prepare components for the next stage of production.
• Cut and finish parts using angle grinders and sanders.
• Stack and organise completed products.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

The successful candidate:

Essential

• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work night shifts in a busy production environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or industrial environment.
• Experience operating machinery or using hand tools.
• Overhead crane experience (training provided if required).
