Role: SAP ERP Systems Lead
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 Per Annum
Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 16:45, Friday 08:30 – 15:00
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days office.

About the Role
Our client is recruiting for a hands-on SAP ERP Systems Lead to take ownership of the support, optimisation, and continuous improvement of SAP across multiple group businesses. Working within a small IT team, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving business-critical SAP processes across finance, production, procurement, and sales operations.
This is a highly operational role focused entirely on SAP support, process improvement, integrations, and stakeholder engagement, with the opportunity to contribute to future ERP strategy and transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on functional support across SAP ERP environments
- Support core SAP modules including Finance, Materials Management, Production Planning, and Sales & Distribution
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP issues across multiple business units
- Support ERP integrations, EDI processes, and third-party interfaces
- Identify and implement SAP process improvements and system enhancements
- Gather business requirements and coordinate testing and deployment activities
- Work closely with stakeholders to improve ERP usage and standardise processes
- Maintain SAP documentation, knowledge sharing, and system records
- Collaborate with external SAP support providers and internal IT teams
About You
- Strong hands-on SAP ERP support experience
- Experience within manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution environments
- Functional knowledge across finance, procurement, production, and sales processes
- Experience supporting SAP integrations and interface-based systems
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance operational support with continuous improvement initiatives
- ABAP knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential
