Role: Senior Defined Benefit Pensions Administrator

Salary: Up to £40,000 Per Annum DOE

Location: Coventry

Working Pattern: Office Based During Training Moving To Hybrid Working (3 Days Office – 2 Days Home)

The role:

• Managing a portfolio of Defined Benefit pension scheme clients and delivering a high standard of administration services
• Processing, checking and reviewing pension administration work to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Supporting the management of team workloads and helping to achieve agreed service standards and targets
• Maintaining scheme membership records and overseeing member benefit calculations and settlements
• Preparing client reports, supporting scheme events and assisting with project delivery
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships and attending client meetings where required
• Providing technical guidance, coaching and support to pensions administrators and trainee team members
• Monitoring service delivery and identifying opportunities for process improvements
• Supporting the Team Manager with workload planning, quality assurance and team development

The successful candidate:

• Previous Defined Benefit pensions administration experience gained within a third-party administrator or in-house occupational pension scheme
• Either current Senior Pensions Administrator experience or a strong Defined Benefit Administrator looking to progress
• Strong technical pensions knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
• Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of colleagues
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service and quality

Desirable:

• Studying towards or qualified in a recognised pensions qualification such as PMI
• Previous experience coaching, mentoring or training junior team members
