Role: Senior Technical Services Engineer

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 Per Annum

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering top-tier IT solutions to our clients, ensuring the highest standards of service and support. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Escalated Client Support: Serve as a point of contact for key clients, addressing their technical needs and ensuring timely resolution of escalated issues.
  • System Design and Implementation: Play a leading role in the design, implementation, and optimization of IT infrastructure and systems for clients, including network architecture, server deployment, telephony and cloud solutions.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage complex IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend best practices, and implement innovative solutions to enhance service delivery.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure all IT systems and processes comply with relevant security standards and regulations, safeguarding client data and infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuity.

AutoTask PSA, Datto RMM, IT Glue, 365, 3CX, Acronis, Azure, Datto SaaS Protection, ESET, Hyper V, MAC, MS Windows, VMWare

The successful candidate:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, and system design, preferably within an MSP environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in a wide range of IT technologies, including Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking (Unifi, Zyxel, Draytek), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, 365).
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
