Role: Solutions Developer
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Location: Chesterfield (Hybrid working available)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 2–3 days office-based

This is a newly created hybrid IT and development position, ideal for someone passionate about technology and comfortable leveraging AI tools within their workflow. The role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to shape the organisation’s technology direction, working closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop pipeline and inventory management systems
- Build dashboards to provide visibility on stock, sales performance, and deal flow
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Develop forecasting tools for asset valuation
- Incorporate market data, usage, and condition into predictive models
- Support data-driven decision making across the business
- Research, recommend, and support the development of a bespoke CRM system
- Manage data migration from existing systems
- Configure workflows, automation, and reporting
- Deliver training and documentation for end users
- Design and implement a centralised database
- Integrate key systems and platforms
- Develop internal tools and dashboards to improve visibility and efficiency
- Administer and optimise the Microsoft 365 environment
- Provide day-to-day IT support across the business
- Identify and implement productivity improvements using automation tools
The Successful Candidate:
Essential:
- Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar
- Experience coding in at least one of: Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Experience using AI coding tools (e.g. Claude or similar), with an understanding of prompt engineering
- Strong knowledge of databases (SQL), APIs, and web technologies
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and related tools
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work from vague requirements
Desirable:
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Knowledge of CRM systems
- Understanding of networking, security, and cloud services (Azure/AWS)
- Evidence of personal or academic projects (e.g. GitHub, side projects)
- Entrepreneurial mindset or experience in smaller business environments
