Role: Trainee Paraplanner
Salary: From £28,000 – Salary Increase of £2,000 Per Exam Passed (Starting Salary Adjusted Based on Existing Qualifications)
Hours: Full-time

Our client is recruiting for a Trainee Paraplanner to join their growing financial planning team in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within a financial advice or administration environment who is looking to progress their career within paraplanning, with full exam support and structured salary progression available. The role involves supporting advisers with financial research, suitability reporting, client analysis, and maintaining accurate client records within a professional and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial research and analysis using tools such as Selectapension and FE Analytics
- Prepare suitability reports and client documentation using Genovo (or equivalent)
- Analyse client circumstances and assist in developing appropriate financial planning recommendations
- Review and validate information provided by administrative staff for accuracy and completeness
- Liaise with administration teams to obtain outstanding information and support processing
- Maintain accurate client records using Intelliflo (or equivalent back-office system)
- Analyse investment solutions including pensions, ISAs, and general investment accounts
- Support advisers to ensure recommendations are suitable, robust, and aligned with client objectives
- Challenge and query advice where appropriate to maintain compliance and suitability standards
- Liaise with compliance teams where required
The Successful Candidate:
- Experience within a financial advice environment (e.g. administration/support role)
- Understanding of the financial advice process and client journey
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to progressing through professional qualifications
