Salary: £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-1:30pm

This is an excellent opportunity for a Welder to join a forward-thinking manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement, quality, and teamwork. The role involves MIG welding thin steel tubing, working to high standards using jigs, and contributing to a culture of efficiency, learning, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG weld thin steel tubing using jigs (no drawings required)
  • Weld and assemble products to a consistently high standard
  • Take ownership of quality and minimise defects at every stage
  • Meet daily production targets through effective workflow management
  • Conduct detailed quality checks on all welds
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools to a high standard
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work flexibly and support cross-functional team activities
  • Follow housekeeping standards and workplace organisation practices
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

The Successful Candidate:

  • Previous MIG welding experience (up to 1 year preferred)
  • Good understanding of welding equipment setup, operation, and maintenance
  • Ability to assemble components using hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Knowledge or interest in continuous improvement/Lean principles (desirable)
  • Confident communicator, comfortable contributing in team discussions
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures, including PPE use
  • Professional, positive, and proactive attitude
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Open to personal development and continuous learning
