Last weekend saw the Glu Recruit team head to Donington Park for an unforgettable few days of racing action – and what a weekend it was. We were there to cheer on Rowan Campbell-Pilling as he made his debut in this year’s F4 season, and he didn’t disappoint.
With some fantastic results straight out of the gate, Rowan showed exactly why he’s one to watch this year. The weather was on our side too, which made catching up with some of the other partners and welcoming a few friends of Glu even more enjoyable!
It’s weekends like these that remind us just how important it is to support up-and-coming talent, whether that’s on the racetrack or in the workplace.
At Glu Recruit, championing young people is part of who we are, and we’re proud to play our part in helping the next generation get ahead.
Continuing our partnership with The Work-wise Foundation
In 2025, we’re continuing our partnership with The Work-wise Foundation. Their mission to help young people gain meaningful employment mirrors our own values, and we’re always keen to get involved in any way we can.
From volunteering at career events to running bespoke sessions for delegates on their programmes, we’re committed to sharing our expertise and offering practical support.
Whether it’s CV writing workshops, interview prep, or general career advice, we aim to equip young people with the tools they need to succeed.
66 young people placed – and counting
In 2024, we placed 66 young people, aged 18-24, into their very first roles – and we’re hoping to top this in 2025.
Breaking into work can be daunting – especially when employers are asking for experience you haven’t had the chance to gain yet.
By working closely with both candidates and employers, we’re able to match young people with opportunities that not only kickstart their careers but also set them up for long-term success.
Seeing them grow in confidence and capability is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do!
Graduate support
It’s not just school leavers we support. We also work hand-in-hand with graduates who are keen to get their foot in the door in their chosen industries.
From digital marketing to engineering, we help grads navigate the often tricky transition from education to employment, connecting them with roles that align with their ambitions and skill sets.
Looking ahead
As Rowan’s season progresses, we’ll be keeping a close eye on his journey and continuing to cheer him on every step of the way. At the same time, we remain focused on helping as many young people as possible achieve their career goals.
Whether it’s on the track or in the workplace, we believe in giving young people every opportunity to shine – and we’re excited to see what the rest of the year brings!
