A year ago today I made a brave step, put on my big boy pants and took the plunge into self-employment. After working in recruitment for over a decade I didn’t want to look back at my life and think “Why didn’t I just do it”.
Well I’m proud to say that we’ve reached our 1st Birthday! It’s never easy starting your own business from scratch and it’s had its ups and its downs but I have loved every minute! Today is a great time to thank the fantastic employers and job seekers in the region that I’ve been fortunate enough to build great partnerships with (and supped a few cups of tea), and without who, we wouldn’t be here celebrating our anniversary today.
In the last year, we’ve placed over 50 great candidates in their dream role and helped 40 employers in Yorkshire and the Midlands find their perfect match. So, thank you. Thank you to all the people who have helped me along the way and given me advice, and those who committed to Glu when we were an unknown newbie on the scene.
Here at Glu we are a people based business and we honestly do work with some of the best. I would never have imagined recruiting the lovely Lisa into the team and moving into a great office space all in year one.
