Planning your ‘Wear a wig to work day’

Planning your ‘Wear a wig to work day’

Here are some ideas on how you can fund raise for our charity of the year Routes Hair Loss Solutions!

Now you’ve got your date booked in the diary, check out our handy guide on planning for a fantastic ‘Wear a wig to work day’

It’s as easy as 1,2 3 – well 1,2,3,4,5!

1 – Let your team know!

‘Wear a wig to work day’ is similar to the ‘Ice bucket challenge’. The idea is simple your team pay to wear a wig for the day! You get lots of pictures for social use and contribute to the Routes Hair Loss Solutions cause to raise awareness and funds for as many as possible suffering from medical hair loss.

2 – Share the news on social!

Let all of your followers and connections know that you’re proudly taking part by tagging in the charities social media channels (LinkedInFacebookInstagram) and use the hashtag #wearawigtowork

3 – Make a plan – discuss ideas between yourselves of how you want the day to go

Are you simply doing the wear a wig to work challenge, or are you linking it in with other fundraising ideas? The more the better! You can make it a really fun day for everyone and raise lots of money for a worthwhile cause in the process! Keep sharing your pictures throughout the day on social!

4 – Tot up how well you’ve done at the end of the day

Count up all the pennies and pounds and drop us a line for our cumulative counter. You can call us on 0114 321 1873 or email lisab@glurecruit.co.uk

We’re tracking throughout the year how much support has been given from the business community towards Routes initial target of £10,000! Again, share your fantastic news on social!

5 – Nominate 3 other businesses!

Through the power of social media nominate 3 businesses to do their very own ‘wear a wig to work day’ – help us spread the word and get more people involved!

Some fundraising ideas from Glu!

1 – Have a ‘dress down’ day where employees pay to come to work in their normal clothes
2 – Hold a bake sale. Do you have any budding Mary Berry’s?
3 – Get your exercise game on! Do you have any equipment where you and your team could hold a ‘cycle for the day’?
4 – Hold a raffle, tombola or auction
5 – Charity car wash! You could offer a car wash for a reasonable charge
